High School Sailing– A note from Coach Stanton: GHCDS sent up 8 Sailors(a Varsity team and a JV Team) and a Coach to compete October 19, 2019 at the Second Points Regatta for the South Atlantic District (SAISA) in Jensen Beach FL.  There were 25 teams from around the State of Florida that attended the Regatta, over 150 sailors. The conditions were a bit overcast and winds were a bit sporadic. The teams were able to get four races in on Saturday. The GHCDS Varsity and JV team were sitting both in 7th after the first two races. The final two races the Varsity team got more comfortable with the conditions and boats and almost won the event! Varsity finished 2nd out of the 25 teams that attended. JV remained consistent and moved up one place in the last two races. Over all, a great showing for GHCDS.
