New Junior Sailing Class!!
Opti Games & Adventures
This new class is for non-competitive opti sailing. Each week sailors will improve their boat handling and general seamanship through games and short sailing trips. Come have some fun on the water!
Sailors should have previously taken the Opti Beginner course or be able to demonstrate an equivalent experience level. Sailors should be able to handle the Opti on their own safely, capsize & recover, be able to rig, launch, tack/jibe, and sail upwind. Sailors additionally should be able to demonstrate adequate swimming ability in swimming short distances and treading water while wearing a PFD.

This course runs weekly on Wednesdays from 4:00 - 6:30
Scholarships Available!
Equipment:
PFDs (lifejackets) are required, sailors who do not have their own may borrow a PFD from the Sailing Program.
Sun protective clothing & sunscreen are strongly recommended, as is a refillable water bottle (there is a water fill station in the club for refills).
Other optional equipment: Hat, sunglasses, water shoes, sailing gloves.
This class is recommended for ages 8 and older.
