Summer Sailing Program
Session 3: July 1 - 12
Monday to Friday 9am - 3pm
NO PROGRAM July 4th

This fun summer program explores the waters of Teague Bay and the East End of St Croix from a variety of watercraft including, Optis, Sunfish, 420's, lasers, O'Pen Bic Skiffs, and more.
Activities vary each day, and will include; sailing games, sailing-based activities, sailing excursions to nearby destinations, and more. Beginners will learn sailing basics, and experienced sailors will improve their sailing abilities and general nautical skills.
No sailing experience required!
We emphasize the importance of teamwork, respect, and safety. Our number one goal is to pass on our passion for the sport of sailing to the next generation of St. Croix Sailors. This program is a graduated program. Every child is different and our instructors will assess your child’s skill and comfort with the level at which they are sailing. Open to ages 5 - 18
General Information
Summer Sailing runs Mondays through Fridays 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.
This session, Session 3, begins July 1st and runs Monday through Friday until Friday July 12th. There is no daytime session July 4th due to the SCYC annual 4th of July celebration.
Full Schedule:
Session 1 June 10th - 14th (one week)
Session 2 June 17th - 28th
Session 3 July 1st - 12th (No program on July 4th)
Session 4 July 15th - 26th
Session 5 July 29th - August 9th
Session 6 August 12th - 16th (one week)
Registration:
Registration opens to Members May 1st
Registration opens to the General Public on May 15th
Registration is not complete and spot(s) will not be held until payment is received in full.
NOTE: Registration will be automatically canceled if payment is not received within 15 minutes of completing online registration.
If registration is full, please register to the waitlist. Additional spots will be opened pending interest and instructor availability. Must have 8 participants for session to run.
Scholarships are Available
Prerequisites:
Must be able to swim 50 yards and pass a swim test.
Required Equipment:
A U.S. Coast Guard approved Type III Personal Flotation Device (PFD) with a plastic whistle attached is required for all activities on the water and dock. If you do not own a life jacked and cannot get hold of one, then the club PFDs are available.
Recommended Equipment:
Sailing gloves
Sun Protection: sunglasses, hat, long sleeves and pants, sunscreen
Reusable water bottle
